In view of the many results reported in this paper, it would seem that the nonclassical nature of the geometry of our spacetime on the quantum scale is the reason for the existence of quantum mechanics and high-energy physics as something quite distinct from classical physics. The concept of surface can help in deepening our understanding of this nonclassical geometry of quantum spacetime.
