The new benchmark solutions are presented for natural convection in a cubic cavity for certain values of Rayleigh and Prandtl numbers. The flow and heat transfer characteristics are also clarified. Moreover, the flow patterns and temperature distributions are presented. The authors show that the local Nusselt numbers on the isothermal boundaries develop two weak peaks.
