    The goal is to analyze the influence of planar anisotropy on the occurrence of wrinkling. A wrinkling bifurcation analysis for a doubly curved sheet is first carried out using the plane stress yield function. A parametric study of the wrinkling limit curves is presented to examine the influence of the orientation of orthropic axes with respect to the principal stress axes, also assuming different orientations with respect to geometric axes of principal curvatures.
