Vibration of rectangular Mindlin plates resting on non-homogeneous elastic foundations (Q1434653)

This paper presents exact solutions for vibration of rectangular Mindlin plates resting on nonhomogeneous elastic foundations. The Lévy solution approach and the domain decomposition technique are employed to develop an analytical method for the vibration of rectangular Mindlin plates resting on multi-segment elastic foundations. The vibration behaviour of square Mindlin plates partially resting on an elastic foundation is studied in detail. Moreover, exact vibration results for rectangular Mindlin plates resting on multi-segment elastic foundations are also presented in the paper.
