First, the author outlines deterministic solutions of the problem of optimal prestress in laminas for stress-free states in individual laminas, or of the problem of optimal distribution of stresses. Then the main goal is to introduce a stochastic solution of the problem. Two main reasons of the author's computational concept are: a) undesirable errors of prestressing may be caused by the woven roving, which creates the ply directions and prestressing; b) the fibers are shifted to the inner side of the lamina, which is being prestressed, although the author supposes a uniform distribution of prestressing throughout the thickness of this lamina. Thus, an additional minimization of the eigenstrains must be introduced.
