An existing simple analysis for linear elastic buckling loads is developed into a time-stepping procedure for calculation of the creep lives of time-dependent nonlinearly elastic systems subject to long-term pressure. The obtaining results are compared with available physical test results and with finite element analysis incorporating the same material information, and appropriate conclusions are drawn.
