A simple viscoelastic Kelvin model is developed to simulate the conventional film blowing process. The kinematic and dynamic expressions of film blowing combined with Kelvin rheological constitutive equation is solved using a Maple software program which performed numerical integration based on a finite element approach. It was found that the non-isothermal Kelvin model predictions agreed much more closely to experimentally observed film blowing characteristics of polypropylene in comparison to the non-isothermal Newtonian model.
