Es wird die Bewegung eines Massenteilchens auf dem Innern einer rauhen Kugel betrachtet (1) für den Fall, daß die Kugel feststeht, (2) für den Fall, daß sie mit konstanter Winkelgeschwindigkeit um ihre vertikale Achse rotiert. Die Reibung wird einmal proportional der Geschwindigkeit bzw. der relativen Geschwindigkeit angenommen (für einen kleinen Proportionalitätsfaktor ergibt sich angenähert der Fall des sphärischen Pendels) und zweitens in gewöhnlicher Weise proportional dem Normaldruck angesetzt.
