Verf. behandelt die Frage nach den Berührungsdrucken und -flächen, indem er die von Hertz gegebene allgemeine Lösung, die die Behandlung elliptischer Integrale verlangt, umformt und mit Hilfe von Kurven angenäherte Resultate erhält, ohne Tafeln für elliptische Funktionen benutzen zu müssen. Zwei Beispiele illustrieren das Verfahren.
