Es handelt sich um eine Diskussion der ursprünglichen \textit{Dirac}schen Ansätze in der Theorie der Quantenelektrodynamik. Im Anschluß an eine seiner vorhergehenden Untersuchungen (vgl. \textit{C. G. Darwin}, Proceedings Royal Soc. London (A) 120 (1928), 621-631; F. d. M. 54, 974 (JFM 54.0974.*)) verweist Verf. vornehmlich auf die Schwierigkeiten der Theorie quantenelektrodynamischer Mehrkörperprobleme.
