Die Tabelle enthält für \(n = 3,\,\ldots,\, 20\) und \(N = 51,\,\ldots,\, 100\) die Mittelwerte und Streuungen von \(\eta^2\), sowie die Werte, für die die Wahrscheinlichkeit nahe an 0,01 und 0,02 liegt, unter folgenden Annahmen: Die beiden Variablen sind unabhängig voneinander, die Anzahl \(N\) der Elemente der Stichprobe ist groß, und die Verteilungsfunktion der Variablen ist die normale (\(n\) ist die Anzahl der Merkmalwerte der zweiten Variablen).
