    Verf. beweist: Ist \(f(x)\) eine stetige Funktion von der Periode \(2\pi\), so gilt gleichmäßig \[ \tau_n(x)=\frac{1}{n \cdot m_n} \sum_{i=1}^{m_n} f(t_i) \frac{\sin^2 \frac 12 n(t_i-x)}{\sin^2 \frac 12(t_i-x)} \to f(x), \] wobei \(m \leqq n\) und \(t_i=\frac{2i \pi}{m_n}\) ist. Der Beweis wird so geführt: Zunächst ist der Satz richtig für \(f(x)\equiv 1\), \(\cos px, \sin px\), folglich für jedes trigonometrische Polynom. Da sich nun jede stetige Funktion durch eine Folge trigonometrischer Polynome gleichmäßig approximieren läßt, so ist der Satz allgemein richtig.
