Ist \(M\) eine stetige Kurve, \(N\) eine beschränkte Teilkurve von \(M\), so enthält \(M - N\) nur endlich viele maximale zusammenhängende Teilmengen, deren Durchmesser eine positive Zahl \(\varepsilon\) übertrifft. Unter der Voraussetzung, daß \(M\) beschränkt sei, ist der Satz vom Verf. schon in der vorstehend referierten Arbeit bewiesen worden.
