Verf. entwickelt eine Erweiterung der Resultate aus einigen seiner früheren Arbeiten (On the representation of functions by trigonometrical integrals; M. Z. 24 (1925), 575-616; F. d. M. 52. The harmonic analysis of irregular motion; Journ. of Math. Massachusetts 5 (1926); 99-121, 158-189; F. d. M. 52). Es wird die Entwicklung einer Funktion in eine trigonometrische Reihe untersucht, wobei die Funktion nur für eine abzählbare Menge von Argumentwerten definiert ist. Diese Theorie wird dann auf die Untersuchung gewisser Potenzreihen angewandt.
