Darstellung und Kritik der Auffassungen von \textit{J. M. Keynes} (A Treatise on Probability, London 1921) und \textit{C. D. Broad} (Mind 27 (1918). 389-404; 29 (1920), 11-45) über das Induktionsproblem. Verf. hält das Induktionsproblem in der Form ``Wie können induktive Verallgemeinerungen eine hohe numerische Wahrscheinlichkeit erreichen?'' für ein Scheinproblem; in der Form ``Wie kann die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Induktion erhöht werden?'' hält er es für unbeantwortet.
