Ist \(a_0\), \(a_1\), \(a_2\), \(\ldots\) eine vollmonotone Folge, so läßt sie sich bekanntlich als Momentenfolge einer beschränkten, nicht abnehmenden Funktion \(\chi(t)\) im Intervall \((0,1)\) ansehen, und umgekehrt (\textit{Hausdorff} 1923; F. d. M. 49, 193 (JFM 49.0193.*)). Unter Benutzung dieser Tatsache beweist Verf. einige Eigenschaften der Funktion \[ f (z) = a_0 + a_1z + a_2z^2 + \cdots, \] für die man unmittelbar eine Integraldarstellung gewinnt, die in der von 1 nach \(\infty\) längs der positiven reellen Achse aufgeschlitzten Ebene gilt. Die durch \[ \frac1{f(z)} = b- b_0z -b_1z^2 -b_2z^3-\cdots \] definierte Folge \(b_0\), \(b_1\), \(b_2\), \(\ldots\) erweist sich wieder als vollmonoton, wenn ein \(b_m\) mit \(m \geqq1\) von Null verschieden ist. Davon wird eine Anwendung auf eine spezielle hypergeometrische Reihe gemacht. Wenn \(a_0^*\), \(a_1^*\), \(a_2^*\), \(\ldots\) eine weitere vollmonotone Folge ist, so auch \[ a_0a_0^*,\;a_1a_1^*,\;a_2a_2^*,\;\ldots\,. \] (IV 6 B, 7.)
