Die vorliegende Arbeit, die aus einem von \textit{P}. \textit{Urysohn} und \textit{P}. \textit{Alexandroff} im Jahre 1924/25 an der Universität Moskau abgehaltenen topologischen seminar hervorgegangen ist, gibt eine übersichtliche Zusammenstellung der Grundbegriffe und Hauptergebnisse der Theorie der abstrakten Räume (Beweise werden nur gelegentlich angegeben).
