    Verf. behandelt die Frage, inwieweit sich die Gesetze der klassischen Elektrodynamik zur Beschreibung atomarer Eigenschaften benutzen lassen. Es ergeben sich, wie Verf. sagt, ``viele Eigenschaften des Atoms, indem man, grob gesprochen, die in der Kontinuitätssprache formulierten Gesetze der klassischen Elektrodynamik in eine Diskontinuitätssprache übersetzt.'' Die Anwendung des Korrespondenzprinzips für den Fall der Einwirkung monochromatischen Lichts auf ein Atom wird auseinandergesetzt.
