Es werden im sphärischen dreidimensionalen Raum \(R_3\) liegende, geschlossene Polyederflächen vom Geschlecht \(p\) betrachtet. Für \(p=0\) wird bewiesen, daß\ beide Teile, in die der \(R_3\) zerlegt wird, topologisch äquivalent mit dreidimensionalen Zellen sind; im Falle \(p=1\), daß\ entsprechend einer Vermutung von Tietze (Wien. Ber. 115, 845 (1906)) wenigstens einer der Teile vom Charakter eines Ringkörpers (``tubular'') ist. (V 2.)
