M. 32, 73 (JFM 32.0073.*), 1901; 36, 98, 1905) hat bewiesen, daß aus \(2\mathfrak m = 2\mathfrak n\) immer \(\mathfrak m = \mathfrak n\) folgt. Hieran anknüpfend, gibt der Verf. eine direkte Lösung der folgenden Aufgabe : Wenn für die 4 Mengen \(M, N, P, Q\) drei eineindeutige Abbildungen \(M \sim N\), \(P \sim Q\), \(M + N \sim P + Q\) gegeben sind, daraus eine eineindeutige Abbildung zwischen \(M\) und \(P\) zu gewinnen.
