Es wird gezeigt, daß \[ \limsup_{i\to \infty}|\varphi_i(x)|\int\limits_a^b f(t) \varphi_i(t)\,dt= + \infty \] sein kann für \(a\leqq x \leqq b\), wobei die samt ihrem Quadrat summablen Funktionen \(\varphi_i(x)\) im endlichen Intervall \((a,b)\) ein normiertes Orthogonalsystem bilden und die Funktion \(f(t)\) passend gewählt ist. Die Konstruktion benutzt wesentlich einen Satz von Lebesgue (Toulouse Ann. (3) 1, 25, 1909).
