Verf. beschäftigt sich mit dem Fehler, den man bei der Approximation der Wurzel einer Gleichung \(f(x)=0\) begeht, wenn man die \textit{Newton}sche Näherungsmethode anwendet. Für diesen Fehler wird eine neue Formel aufgestellt, der gewisse Mängel der sonst üblichen Formeln nicht anhaften.
