Als ein Kuriosum, das für praktische Zwecke bedeutungslos ist, hat der Verf. eine Funktion \(\theta (x)\) aufgestellt, die für die positive ganze Zahl \(x\) die größte in \(x\) enthaltene Primzahl gibt: \[ \theta (x)=\lim_{r=\infty}\lim_{m=\infty}\lim_{n=\infty}\sum_{\nu =0}^m[1-(\cos\{(\nu !)^r\pi /x\} )^{2n}]. \]
