    \textit{Mertens} hat (vergl. F. d. M. 30, 192, 1899, JFM 30.0192.01) den \textit{Dirichlet}schen Beweis des Satzes wesentlich vereinfacht, daß\ jede lineare Form \(L+Mz\), deren Koeffizienten teilerfremde ganze Zahlen des \textit{Gauß}schen Körpers \(P(i)\) sind, unendlich viele komplexe Primzahlen darstellt; er hat jenen Satz unabhängig vom quadratischen Reziprozitätsgesetze bewiesen und hat auch Grenzen angegeben, innerhalb deren Primzahlen der verlangten Art liegen. Durch \textit{Mertens} angeregt, führt Verf. die entsprechende Untersuchung für den quadratischen Körper \(P(\varrho)\) durch, welcher bei Adjunktion einer primitiven dritten Einheitswurzel, z. B. von \(\varrho = \frac{-1 +i \sqrt 3}{2}\), zum natürlichen Rationalitätsbereich entsteht. Verf. zeigt also: Wenn \(L\) und \(M\) teilerfremde ganze Zahlen des Körpers sind, so gibt es unendlich viele ganze Zahlen \(z\) im Körper, für welche \(L+Mz\) eine Primzahl des Körpers ist. Seine Beweismethode ist der \textit{Mertens}schen ganz analog.
