Bei der Diskussion verschiedener Probleme der Mechanik kann man aus dem Umstande Nutzen ziehen, daß\ elliptische Integrale dritter Gattung, wenn der Parameter der aliquote Teil einer Periode ist, durch elementare Funktionen ausgedrückt werden können; vergl. auch F. d. M. 30, 403 bis 404, 1899 (siehe JFM 30.0403.01), wo weitere Literatur angegeben ist.
