Der Verf. bemerkt, es existire noch kein Beweis dafür, dass auch in der nichteuklidischen Geometrie der Schnitt eines Kegels zweiter Ordnung mit einer Ebene ein Kegelschnitt ist. Er giebt daher einen Beweis, indem er zeigt, dass dieser Schnittcurve die bezügliche Focaleigenschaft zukommt, die die Ellipse definirt.
