Mac Coll berichtigt einen in seinem siebenten Bericht (F. d. M. 29, 45, 1898, JFM 29.0045.03) vorgekommenen Irrtum. Er hatte \(A^x:B^y\) für gleichbedeutend mit \(\left(\frac B{A^x}=y\right)\) und \(\left(\frac{B^y}{A^x}=1\right)\) gesetzt. Die dritte Formel schliesst thatsächlich die erste und zweite in sich ein, ist aber nicht formal gleich bedeutend mit ihnen.
