    Die Gleichung \((1/n)\sum\varphi(t)=1\), summirt über alle Teiler \(t\) von \(n\), wird mit \(A_n\) multiplicirt und \(n=1,2,\dots,m\) gesetzt. Durch Addition dieser \(m\) Formeln ergiebt sich: \[ \begin{multlined} A_1+A_2+\cdots+A_m = \left(A_1+\frac{A_2}2+\cdots+\frac{A_m}m\right)\varphi(1) + \left(\frac{A_2}2+\frac{A_4}4+\frac{A_6}6+\cdots\right)\varphi(2) +\\ \cdots + \left(\frac{A_n}n+\frac{A_{2n}}{2n}+\cdots\right)\varphi(n) + \cdots + \frac{A_m}m\varphi(m).\end{multlined} \] Diesen Ansatz specialisirt der Verf., indem er der Reihe nach für \(A_n\) folgende Bedeutungen wählt: \(A_n=1\), \(n\), \(n^r\), \(\binom m{n-1}\), \(\frac1{n^r}\), \(z^n\), \(n^rz^n\), \(\frac{z^n}{n^r}\frac{\cos2\pi nx}{n^k}\).
