Der Zusammenhang zwischen der Determinante der allgemeinen quadratischen Form \(\int_a^\beta(\sum a_ix^{n-i})^2\chi(x)dx\) und der Resultante \(R(\psi_n,\psi_{n-1})\) zweier auf einander folgenden Näherungsnenner der Kettenbruchentwickelung von \(\int_a^\beta\frac{\chi(z)dz}{x-z}\) wird direct nachgewiesen.
