Das System von linearen homogenen Congruenzen \[ \sum_{k=0}^{k=p-2} b_{k+\varrho}y_k\equiv0\;\pmod p\qquad(\varrho=0,1,\dots,p-2) \] hat ebenso viele linear unabhängige Lösungssysteme, wie die Congruenz \[ \sum_{k=0}^{k=p-2} b_{k}y^k\equiv0\;\pmod p \] unter einander und von Null verschiedene Wurzeln besitzt. --- Dieser Satz wird aus zwei anderen, einzeln bewiesenen, ähnlicher Art abgeleitet.
