Ein Polygon ist ein harmonisches, wenn die von einem innerhalb gelegenen Punkte auf die Seiten gefällten Lote diesen proportional sind. Solche Polygone behandelte namentlich Casey (Proc. R. J. Acad. 2. Ser, Vol. IV, No. 5) und neuerdings Tarry und Neuberg (Assoc. Franç. Nancy 1886). Zur Auffindung der Eigenschaften dieser Polygone geht Herr Simmons zweckmässig von der Verallgemeinerung seines in den London M. S. Proc. XVII. 418 (vgl. oben S. 551, JFM 19.0551.04) aufgestellten Satzes über Kegelschnitte aus.
