    Bei der Berechnung der Brennweite einer Linse, die für eine gegebene Schweite nöthig ist, vernachlässigt man meist die Distanz zwischen Linse und Auge. Eine sehr einfache Rechnung, die hier ausgeführt wird, verbessert diesen Fehler; zugleich ergiebt sich, dass, wenn die genannte Distanz wächst, die Brennweite der Linse kleiner werden muss.
