Der Verfasser beweist auf einem grösstentheils analytischen Wege den Steiner'schen Satz: ``Von allen convexen Polyedern, welche dieselbe Flächenzahl und gleiche Oberfläche haben, hat dasjenige den grössten Inhalt, welchem eine Kugel eingeschrieben werden kann, die jede Polyederfläche in ihrem Schwerpunkte berührt''.
