This paper concerns the restricted three-body problem. The main result is the proof of symbolic dynamics for fourteen symbols which allows to demonstrate the existence of orbits, periodic or non-periodic, that come arbitrarily close to five different periodic orbits. This result yields a lower estimate on the topological entropy of the system, and thus a proof of its chaotic behavior.
