This work is devoted to provide a proof of a formula for the Euler characteristic of the orbit space of a \(G\)-finite \(G\)-CW-complex in terms of equivariant Euler characteristics. The proof involves the Hochschild homology of \(G\) with coefficients in the cellular chain complex \(C_*(X,\mathbb Q)\) and gives some remarks on finite group actions, regarding finite \(G\)-complexes.
