The author presents an approximate analytical solution to steady incompressible axisymmetric Stokes flow in the neighbourhood of contact point between a cylindrical channel and a plunger inclined at some angle to the channel wall and uniformly sliding along it. The paper contains neither a clarifying sketch to the geometrical and flow situation, nor any graphical presentation of the solution.
