The author proposes an algorithm for the numerical analysis of evolution and scaling properties of subharmonic motions in nonlinear dynamical systems that develop in the course of their transitions to chaos. The algorithm is based on the joint application of the continuation method, the Lyapunov and Floquet stability criteria, bifurcation and scaling theories, and the Everhart method of high-accuracy numerical integration. A number of new universal constants are obtained.
