An implicit method for calculation of the turbulent flow of a compressible viscous gas (Q1569373)

The author constructs compact third-order accurate difference schemes for integration of density-averaged Navier-Stokes equations and equations of a differential model of turbulence. The flux-vector-splitting algorithm and an iteration procedure are employed for solving systems of differential equations. Computational results are presented for a number of compressible viscous flows.
