The author studies certain types of paperfoldings, where the sheet of paper is a triangle or a quadrilateral and all of these foldings are starting from one point (``radial foldings''). He investigates several rules whose empirical confirmation is easy. His approaches yield and verify nice results from planar elementary geometry, also related to special algebraic curves.
