Constructive approximation for a class of perturbed Hammerstein integral equations (Q1570969)

The authors consider a perturbed Hammerstein integral equation with a decreasing function. This type of equation is generally studied by means of the fixed point constructive analysis for decreasing operators. Existence and uniqueness of a nonnegative continuous solution is derived by means of a general result for completely continuous decreasing operators together with Darbo's fixed point theorem for the perturbed case. A numerical application is given in the finite-dimensional case.
