The authors develop a theory for solving half-space boundary value problems for Chandrasekhar's equations describing the propagation of polarized light in the case of combined Rayleigh and isotropic scattering with an arbitrary value of the probability of photon survival in the elementary scattering act. A theorem on the decomposition of a solution in terms of eigenvectors of the discrete and continuous spectra is proved.
