From author's summary: Using a finite difference scheme, we analyze the accuracy of numerical solution of Navier-Stokes equations for high Reynolds numbers. Estimates are derived for the ratio between the viscous terms of equations, and for the errors in the corresponding convective terms in viscous and inviscid flow regions. It is shown that these estimates depend primarily on the order of approximation provided by the method, and on the number of spanwise meshes used in computations.
