The author considers an implicit symmetric scheme for solving the equations of compressible gas in arbitrary curvilinear coordinates. The traditional computational complications are less important for this scheme with increased accuracy which is based on the application of quadrature formulas for calculating the integrals of fluxes through the boundaries of cells. The scheme has the sixth order of approximation for time-independent solutions. The results of test calculations are presented.
