The author considers the numerical method of pseudocharacteristics for solving the equations of three-dimensional steady isenergic flows of a two-parameter gas, written in Crocco-Vazsonyi form. It is shown that this method is stable only if all eigenvalues of the transition operator have absolute values equal to unity. This result is used to derive constraints on relative cell sizes, including the cell size along the nonmarching coordinates.
