The problem of hot-electron transport in a laser plasma is considered. The problem is analyzed by using the \(P_1\) or diffusion approximation. The linearized difference equations are solved by the multidiagonal Gaussian elimination. The structure of the hot-electron energy grid was examined. The grid that is based on a geometric progression is prefered. The nonlinear terms of radiative transfer equations are treated by Newton's method.
