The paper examines an intensive interaction between a cloud of space dust particles and the atmosphere in two-dimensional axially symmetric formulation. The algorithm developed for the numerical solution of the problem is based on the use of an unstructured grid with separation of boundaries. An example of solution is presented for the entry of a cloud of particles into the atmosphere with the kinetic energy characteristic of the Tunguska space body.
