Let \({\mathbb R}^{2n}\), \(n\geq 2\), be the standard symplectic space. A connected hypersurface \(\Sigma\) is said to be of restricted contact-type if there exists a globally defined Liouville vector field transverse to \(\Sigma\). For a set \(U\), let \(w(U)\) be the Gromov symplectic width, let \(c_{FH}(U)\) be the Floer-Hofer capacity, and let \(d(U)\) be the displacement energy of \(U\). The author shows that if \(U\) is a bounded open set such that its boundary is of restricted contact-type, then \(w(U)\leq c_{FH}(U)\leq d(U)\).
