Embeddings in Grassmannians (Q1572955)

The authors study the projective geometry of the Veronese embeddings of a 2- or 3-dimensional projective space into a Grassmannian. This leads to statements concerning the existence or the non-existence of such embeddings with given cohomological properties. The last section is devoted to the case of spaces over a finite field, and hence it is more related to problems arising from Galois geometries.
