The authors consider the localization phenomenon in disordered multi-coupled multi-infinite beam resting on flexible springs, the individual spans possess two degrees of freedom at each end. This means that the beam is bi-coupled, and thus the beam motion is composed of two independent waves. The distances between the supports may be identical or various, and then we have ordered or disordered multi-span beam. The authors study the effect of slight randomness in the support spacing on the dynamics of the beam. The vibration localization and energy transfer between the waves are analysed, and the localization factors, or Lyapunov exponents, that describe the spatial decay, are computed using three different methods. The results of calculations are compared.
