Based on a construction of well-behaving sequences of monomials, the authors obtain a class of error-correcting linear codes (the class of IGG codes) that includes the so-called geometric Goppa codes. They also give a low complexity procedure for the constructions of such IGG codes from Klein and Klein-like algebraic curves.
